Hi My son is 9 months old and we just went through this with him so i know how hard it can be. but persistance pays off. my son also would drink water out of a bottle. they are smart little cookies and know where there milk comes from and bottles aint mummys booby. If you can get dador someone else to feed the bottle to her that will help alot!! she can smell you and your milk and she knows its all wrong. i found that was the same when i wanted him to sleep through the night so sorry dads you've got to help us!! We use the big W brand bottles and he loves them now, he wont take it from any other bottle. We also use the karicare follow on 2 from 6 months. i know many mums that use it and that why i choose to use it. it took us 3 nights to get him used to the bottle. he also screamed and i found it very difficult, i to felt like a horrible mum. the first night we gave in and he had breast milk. but by the 4th night he drank from it no problems. at first he would just have a bottle before he went to bed, we did that for a week then increased it to two bottle feeds a day, did that for a week another week. now he is fully on the bottle and has been for 2 months. Its great but it was very annoying as your milk takes a while to stop. i would express before bed and they would be so full and sore in the morning. try to stick with the one brand of formula and bottle, this could be confusing her more.
